Milwaukee, WI - Pvt Breanne Selear returned Wednesday, 1 October 2008, to visit Milwaukee Composite Squadron #5 proudly wearing her Army ACU’s and beret.  Selear, a former cadet member of the squadron, joined the active duty U.S. Army and is on leave before heading to Ft. Bragg and possible deployment as a Multichannel Transmission Systems Operator Maintainer (that translates as a "radio operator" in military-speak).

Yes, she reports, she did get her first stripe courtesy of having passed her Mitchell Award in CAP. All that customs and courtesy training did help because, although we're not sure we believe this, she loved Basic Training!  However, according to Selear, Ft. Gordon, Georgia where she attended technical training, had mosquitoes worse than Wisconsin’s!
