It is time to start planning to attend the annual Wisconsin Wing Conference
to be held 18-20 April 2008 in La Crosse.

The theme this year is based on a quotation from Aristotle and the slogan that our squadron's cadets built from it: We are what we repeatedly do; our excellence then is not an act, but a habit. Come join us as we learn from each other to build on the foundation we already have of being a Wing of Excellence, become even better, and have a great time doing it!

The location for the conference is the Best Western Midway Riverside Resort in La Crosse. The Midway is located on the bank of the Black River, one of the three rivers that converge in La Crosse. (The Black and La Crosse Rivers flow into the Mississippi.) The Midway has the nicest indoor water park and pool that rivals those found in Wisconsin Dells!

Some of the most popular breakout sessions from last year have already signed up to go again. So if you missed getting your First Aid or CPR certification last year, you will have an opportunity this year.

We have also arranged some really fun activities. We are planning a pool party for Friday and Saturday nights, and a dance with a live band on Saturday right after the banquet. During the banquet, an element from 132nd Army Band, Wisconsin National Guard, will provide appropriate "dinner music," as well as musical selections at the beginning of the awards portion of the evening. All of this is on top of the great time we will have learning skills that will enhance our ability to be THE Wing of Excellence.

There are two important deadlines:
1. March 17 is when the $67 discounted room rate goes up at the Midway.
2. April 3 is when a $10 late registration fee kicks in for the conference.

So mark your calendars and make your reservations for what will be a highlight of the year! See you there!
