Counterdrug News:

There was a new version of the Counterdrug module of Operations Qualifications set released last October. The changes are be as follows:

  • There will only be one CD qualification, CD qualified, and it will be certified at national headquarters by the confidential screening coordinator. Completion of the online CD orientation and refresher training will automatically be posted and extensions and waivers towards the CD qualification will also be shown.
  • There will no longer be separate CD mission pilot, observer or scanner qualifications. All CD personnel are required to maintain their normal emergency services qualifications to participate in the CD program. If an incident commander or counterdrug mission director is looking for CD mission pilots they simply look for CD qualified members then check to make sure they are qualified to fly.
  • There will no longer be a separate CD 101 card sent from national headquarters. The CD 101 will be combined with the normal 101 card.
  • CD qualification reports will be available in the Reports module of Operations Qualifications that will list such information as all CD qualified members in a selected organization and their expiration dates for the CD orientation and refresher and Form 83 requirements.
