Duties
of the Drug Demand Reduction Officer:
Education and Training.
The DDR Officer is responsible for promoting a zero tolerance
substance use in the wing. This includes providing resources and updates to
the wing members as often as necessary.
School Programs.
The DDR Officer is responsible for overseeing the establishment of relationships
with the schools in communities. Establishing these partnerships will help
grow school required drug prevention programs as well as help recruit young
people into the CAP program.
Community Outreach.
The DDR Officer is responsible for overseeing the establishment of relationships
within the state and provide resources during key awareness periods for
example, Red Ribbon Week, Drunk and Drugged Driving Month, and Inhalant
Prevention Awareness Week.
